![]() How's your Mac Mini and 4K display getting along? Is everything buttery smooth or has there been lag even in basic tasks in the UI? I assume many if not most of you are using a scaled-down res (maybe 1440p to get best of the both worlds in crisp text without things being too small) which can cause some lag as scaling takes a toll from the system. I certainly know about the bottleneck that is the Intel 630 GPU but I didn't expect it to cause issues from the get-go. ![]() This has gotten me a bit worried as I expect any Apple computer to handle basic tasks with fluidity for at least 6-8 years and it doesn't sound too good if the Mac Mini cannot even drive a high-res monitor lag-free. The last few days I've been reading about people experiencing UI lag with their LG UltraFine 5K displays. So I'm about to pull the trigger on a i5 Mac Mini and LG 27UK850 which is a 4K display (recommended by many sources as a good monitor for Macs).
